Responsibilities may include inbound/outbound telephone calls, cash management, appointment scheduling, processing insurance updates, and patient check-in/out. Position Hours: PRN hours are as needed Department Summary: Our otolaryngologists at Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center offer advanced, comprehensive care for the full spectrum of ear, nose, and throat-related disorders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts patient check-in and check-out. Schedules appointments through clinical communication or direct request. Provides positive first impressions utilizing customer service skills. Ensures point of service collections. Manages reception area, maintains orderly appearance; ensures accountability of each patient check-in; proactively communicates appointment updates with patients. Additional duties may be assigned. TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES: Customer Service (Novice): Focus on customer needs and requirements. Patient Scheduling (Fundamental Awareness): Ability to coordinate and schedule patient appointments. Patient Documentation (Fundamental Awareness): Ability to receive and record patient information. Medical Terminology&Documentation (Fundamental Awareness): Ability to comprehend medical terminology.
