As a member of our Medical Specialty team, you will help us care for patients in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, and Pulmonary Medicine. This includes consults and procedures at our two acute care hospitals and ambulatory care at our three medical specialty clinics. The Administrative Coordinator I performs a wide range of administrative and support functions for the department. They act as the link between the health provider, the patient, other Alliance departments, outside service agencies, and consulting providers. Responsibilities include: Greeting departmental visitors Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating schedules for departmental personnel, interns, and fellows in specialty areas Registering patients and performing administrative duties necessary to ensure appropriate billing and reimbursement for services Performing general clerical duties in the preparation of departmental correspondence and records Monitoring and ordering office supplies Efficiently scheduling meetings as requested Other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Education/Training: High School Diploma/GED required; Associates Degree Preferred. Work Experience: 1-3 years in an office support/administrative position required, preferably in an outpatient healthcare setting. Skills: Experience with computer applications such as advanced word processing, spreadsheets, databases, flowcharts, and graphics preferred (Microsoft Office and Google apps).
