Pet Urgent Care located in beautiful La Mesa, California is looking for a veterinarian to join our amazing team Our hospital has a collaborative team and a pet-loving community. The Urgent Care department has been designed to meet a key need in our community and hospital. We aim to provide efficient, compassionate care to patients with non-critical conditions so that they receive great care without the wait In the Urgent Care department, we offer walk-ins and appointments for various conditions. We stay in close contact with the primary veterinarians to ensure those patients return for ongoing care with their family vet. We focus on: Minor emergencies that are not life-threatening such as lacerations, limping/painful pets, hypersensitivity reactions, vomiting and/or diarrhea without significant dehydration, ear infections causing discomfort, urinary tract infections, laceration repair, non-obstructed FLUTD/FUS patients, etc. Cases that are referred to by general practice veterinarians because they are unable to see them in a timely manner and fit within the scope of care we provide. We are open Tuesday - Sunday, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a general practice veterinarian eager to tackle more complex cases, or an emergency veterinarian seeking a more predictable schedule and manageable workload. In this role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients, clients, and colleagues by delivering reliable walk-in, outpatient care for pets with non-life-threatening conditions that still need to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. The Ideal Candidate would be willing and able to relieve pressure from our local and busy ER hospitals, help our referring veterinary community, and provide exceptional service to pet parents. Experience&Skills Requirements: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required. State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date. Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible. J-18808-Ljbffr
