Accuro is a small charity that supports people with a disability in West Essex. We are looking for a new trustee to join our board and help us make a difference in the lives of people with a disability, their families, and carers in the community. As a trustee, you will be responsible for helping to set the charity’s strategic direction, overseeing our finances, and ensuring we comply with all relevant legislation. We have a fantastic, long-standing, and supportive team of Trustees who are now looking to enhance their extensive skill set. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people with a disability and would welcome someone with experience in fundraising, marketing, and/or communications. The time commitment is a few hours every other month to attend an evening meeting and some time prior to this to read the papers. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in charity governance and management and develop your skills and knowledge. You do not need to have been a Trustee before, as this role and the rest of the Trustee team can help you develop additional skills. Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy networking and making connections. Ability to think strategically, be diplomatic, and open to new ideas. Our head office is located just outside Bishops Stortford, and we provide services in Epping Forest, Harlow, and Uttlesford.
