Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical imaging, with expertise in performing CT scans and other diagnostic evaluations. This role is essential in providing high-quality imaging services to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Duties Perform CT scans and other imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures performed. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including CT, X-Ray, PET scan, and mammography machines. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures during all procedures. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques. Assist in the training of new staff or students in imaging protocols and safety practices. Qualifications Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a focus on CT imaging. Strong knowledge of anatomy to accurately position patients for optimal imaging results. Experience in diagnostic evaluation techniques, including sonography when applicable. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within a trauma center setting. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage patient records effectively.
