The Eppolito Group has been retained by a Top 25 CPA firm seeking a Real Estate Tax Partner to join their tax department. This firm has experienced significant growth and is seeking a Tax Partner to take a major role in the continued growth of this firm. This Partner will be responsible for: Supervising engagements and special projects undertaken by the firm Overseeing all aspects of the client engagement from the planning stage through budgeting for the job and monitoring actual against budgeted time Performing tax planning and advising clients of the best strategy for their organization Assuming total technical responsibility for tax work performed Handling client consultations and keeping the client informed of the status of the engagement Expanding services to existing clients, as well as meeting the firm's new client development standards Supervising, training and evaluating advanced level staff Coaching, mentoring and assisting staff so they can develop and assist in the growth of the tax function Maintaining knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends that affect the client The right candidate will have: BS in Accounting or related field MS, or LLM in tax a big plus 10 years recent experience in the tax department of a CPA firm, can be a Senior Manager, Principal or Director Top 10 CPA firm experience highly preferred Expertise in the real estate industry with strong emphasis on REITS and commercial Real Estate a must Strong team player Solid verbal and written communication skills Practice Development skills a plus but not a must All candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
