Builders Capital is currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team in Puyallup, Washington. The Systems Administrator acts as the primary contact for Helpdesk tickets for the IT department. They are responsible for accepting, responding, researching, and resolving all help desk related in support of Builders Capital. An outstanding Systems Administrator should be able to respond to both mundane and complex issues using simplified language that all users will understand and resolve tickets in a timely manner. DAY TO DAY: Receive, respond, troubleshoot, and resolve helpdesk tickets. Create solutions using infrastructure, software, and hardware to meet business needs, current or foreseen. Educate necessary teams on the proper usage and maintenance of developed solutions to ensure their continued adoption. Research, advise, and champion advances in security, usability, and functionality. Assess current and future needs of the changing business climate. Brief the Director of IT of upcoming changes and items that need attention. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years’ experience in helpdesk or demonstrated equivalent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: Proven track record of creating solutions in a collaborative environment. Demonstrable ability to understand a complex environment, and determine the needs, vulnerabilities, and opportunities. Ability to easily explain complex technical solutions in layman’s terms. Strong focus on collaboration, education, and knowledge development. Strong oral and written communication skills to stakeholders at all levels. Able to take a big-picture view of the entire environment.
