Join our world-class team today Position Specific Description We are seeking an energetic and compliance minded professional to join our Benefits Operations team in Juno Beach, FL. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for guiding and directing leaders and employees on matters related to workers' compensation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and optimizing the efficiency of our workers' compensation program. Additional responsibilities include supporting the team with our other disability and leave management programs (STD, LTD, Family Leave). This role involves a high level of interaction with both internal and external stakeholders to drive effective outcomes and continuous improvement. Job Overview Employees in this job oversee NextEra Energy Workers’ Compensation program. Job Duties&Responsibilities Guides and directs leaders about workers’ compensation policies, procedures, and issues Maintains accurate and confidential health and accident records in compliance with regulations Oversees Third Party Administrators that handle company workers’ compensation claims Provides administration and compliance to the state rules and regulations for the workers’ compensation and wrap-up programs Conducts research, reporting and analysis of workers’ compensation activities and trends Provides technical guidance for contractors on the proper handling of injured employees Supports the preparation of governmental and company workers’ compensation reports Assists with settlement negotiations, provides depositions, and testifies on workers’ compensation cases Identifies potentially large or fraudulent claims Conducts file audits and reviews to ensure claim handling practices are followed Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Grad / GED Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience Experience: 4 years Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Experience: 7 years Professional HR Certification (PHR) Senior Professional in HR Cert (SPHR) Employee Group: Exempt Employee Type: Full Time Job Category: Human Resources Organization: Florida Power&Light Company Relocation Provided: No NextEra Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
