Responsibilities Full-Time Behavioral Health Teacher Opportunity This opportunity to serve as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team for students by providing direct education services. Utilizes knowledge and skills related to crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation in order to provide a safe environment for students, visitors, and staff. Develop, implement, and update IEPs for all students on their educational caseload. Daily written plans based on curriculum, core/state standards, and IEP goals. Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred. Teaching in a special education setting preferred. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Projects a positive image of The Pavilion by being courteous, helpful, friendly, and professional in relationships with patients/residents/students, visitors, and co-workers. Assures compliance with federal, state, and organizational confidentiality regulations. Responds to a “Support Code” in a therapeutic, appropriate manner as prescribed in the annual TCI in-service. Maintains OSHA, Risk Management, Infection Control, CPR, and TCI and all other required education. Performs other duties as assigned.
