Job Description: Position Summary: The Senior Physical Security Engineer is responsible for providing design, installation, and technical support for video surveillance and/or door access solutions to our customers. This position will also provide technical expertise and support a variety of security projects/customers while being the onsite technical lead for the project. Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions: Work as a member of the HBS Physical Security Team that provides consultative and proactive project management support to HBS’s account base. Obtain knowledge on other technologies, as directed by customer demand. Provide sales consultants and fellow Engineers with physical security design assistance, review, validation, and optimization of systems and protocols. Contribute to product selection and research, configuration standards and best practices and educate our sales teams on these products and services so that they can sell them. Understanding of common vulnerabilities and associated risk mitigation strategies. Articulate complicated security concepts in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution across the spectrum of systems engineering and integration activities. Utilize internal and vendor resources to problem solve, determine, and document best path to resolution. Direct resources to team, report on progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents. Attend and participate in weekly team calls as directed by the Team Lead. Work in a team atmosphere as both a leader and contributor as assigned to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor. Manage tasks assigned effectively without supervision. Cross-education/mentoring of other Heartland Engineers or Technicians or related personnel. Project management of large physical security projects and support jobs, responsible for the installation, design, and management of PhySec solutions. Minimum of 1,450 hours billed per fiscal year prorated based on start date, balanced against professional development and on-the-job training.
