Senior Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations The Senior Associate Athletic Director is a leadership position within the university’s athletic department. The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic oversight of financial operations, budgetary planning, and fiscal management to support the athletics program’s mission and goals. This is an in-person, on-campus; non-remote position. Required Skills or Software: Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel 2016 Intermediate knowledge of MS Word 2016 Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately Required Years of Experience: 5 years in business, finance, accounting, budget administration, or related field. Other Requirements: Knowledge of financial operations, budget projections, and forecasting processes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Ability to understand the needs of students, colleagues, and communities from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of NCAA compliance rules as they relate to financial transactions. Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, holidays and attend athletic events as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a student-athlete, coach, athletic administrator, or business professional. Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Physical Education, Education, or related field. Job Duties Administer all requisitions and expense vouchers for the athletics department. Manage recruitment trips and official visits, including expense forms. Manage the financial aspects of all summer camps and clinics. Meet with teams regarding business and communications practices. Monitor summer school decisions and follow through with Financial Aid. Oversee the administration and reconciliation of purchase cards and credit cards issued within Athletics. Prepare and organize required NCAA and conference forms and reports. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures governing the Department of Athletics. Reconcile all vouchers and expenses related to transportation and team travel. Supervise sports as directed by the Athletics Director. Assist with invoicing corporate sponsors and external constituents. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures. Oversee the preparation and management of annual operating budgets. Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for resource allocation. Manage athletic contracts and capital project planning. Other duties as assigned.
