Self-Pay Collector and Financial Counselor The Self-Pay Collector will perform collection activities to collect payments from insurance payors and patients, and assist patients and families with financial arrangements including financial assistance applications for Medicaid, when appropriate. The role also manages self-pay accounts and tracks insurance preauthorizations along with other duties assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Secondary education in accounting, business, or related field is preferred. 3 years of experience in medical billing, registration, collections, or insurance preferred. Basic computer knowledge, excellent customer service, and communication skills are required.
