Quality Control Manager Job Description Summary As a Quality Manager, you will be a key player in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all aspects of manufacturing processes. With core skills in quality audits, control, and assurance, you will oversee quality inspections and manage quality systems to uphold excellence. Your premium skills in ISO will be instrumental in maintaining compliance and meeting industry standards. Additionally, your relevant skills in project management and analysis will enable you to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance overall quality performance. You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage the quality team by providing direction and support, ensuring alignment of organizational goals. Manage Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and regulatory compliance. Promote environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organization’s operations. Manage all complaints received from customers to determine corrective action. Manage all workers' compensation claims; OSHA logs, incident reports, return to work program, and corrective actions. Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the quality department staff to ensure meeting or exceeding quality specifications and standards of ISO and Integrated Management System. Establish and implement quality procedures and specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials and for in-process and finished products. Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions. Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques and quality plans. Develop process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards. Develop training for and train employees on quality-related practices and system requirements. Produce quality reports; analyze information, and address and resolve problem areas. Develop and lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and to improve levels of quality and productivity. Provide technical assistance to customers, vendors, and other departments of the company. Resolve any quality issues. Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in product or quality standards where warranted. Assist customers regarding any quality problems or concerns. Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 5 years of relative working experience Knowledgeable and must be able to execute ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 IATF 16949 experience a plus Six Sigma Experience with quality control standards and procedures High level of verbal, written, and presentation skills Knowledge of company or industry policies and procedures and regulatory requirements Advanced computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, etc.) Ability to interact well with other managers Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage large amounts of information.
