Job Title: Profee Urgent Care Coder (Addison Group for our client) Location: Remote (Approved states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Texas, Washington, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin) Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Job Overview: Addison Group is seeking an experienced Profee Urgent Care Coder to support our client. This role focuses on professional fee coding for critical care charts. If you have experience in pediatrics and critical care coding, that’s a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities: Perform professional fee coding for critical care cases, including services like 99291 and 99292. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Maintain a productivity log to track daily coding activities. Utilize systems such as Allscripts and Optum Encoder Pro effectively. Work collaboratively with the client’s coding team and meet quality benchmarks. Qualifications: Certification Required: CPC or CPMA. Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional coding; 3 years preferred for advanced roles. Pediatric critical care coding experience is a strong plus. Technical Skills: Familiarity with Allscripts and Encoder Pro; ability to navigate and use EMR systems effectively. Work Hours&Schedule: Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting as early as 6:00 AM (AZ time) with some flexibility. Break: 30-minute lunch break included. Approved Work Locations: This position is open to candidates residing in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Texas, Washington, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Compensation: Contract Rate: $18 - $30/hour (dependent on experience). Permanent Rate: Coder I (1-3 years of experience): $18.99–$25.00/hour. Coder II (3 years of experience): $22.57–$30.00/hour. Equipment: Personal computers allowed during the contract period. Upon permanent conversion (after 90 days), candidates will receive $1,500 for equipment. Additional Information: Training: Includes initial system training followed by shadowing and QA oversight in the first week. Interviews: Available Fridays or Mondays at 1:00 PM (AZ time).
