Lucasfilm Animation Ltd., the creators of the Emmy award-winning animation series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and the highly successful animation series “Star Wars Rebels,” “Star Wars Resistance,” “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” “Tales of the Jedi” and “Tales of the Empire” are looking for a Post Production Assistant who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that defines Lucasfilm Ltd. This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work onsite in our San Francisco office and occasionally from home. The Post Production Assistant will provide administrative and scheduling support for multiple shows across Lucasfilm Animation and Lucasfilm Franchise Production content pipelines in all phases of post-production. Collaboration with external vendors is expected. Additional support will also be provided to the editorial and production departments as needed. What You’ll Do Scheduling editorial and post production meetings, deliverables, and reviews. Typing and executing meeting notes, documents and schedules as required. Request information for and send out weekly in-office and overtime tracking sheets. Maintaining and cataloguing all hardware and software needs in conjunction with our recording studios and external vendors. Keeping all editorial and post calendars up to date. Prepping for and assisting in all Quality Control team reviews. Reviewing episodic credits for spelling errors, verify names and titles against LFL and Disney databases, and QC on-screen credits against source sheets. QC media outputs from editorial, post and external vendors to ensure they meet technical standards. Aiding in the delivery of all retake shots to post. Assisting in delivering production&editorial media to post and keeping tracking documents up to date. Provide IO support to facilitate uploads and downloads of media with external vendors. Supporting the post team for special projects, administrative tasks, screenings and awards submissions. What We’re Looking For One or more years of experience within the entertainment field. A Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Art, Communication or has gained such experience by working within our industry. Production or post-production media acquisition experience (e.g., timecode, logging, capturing). A self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team. High level of initiative and confidentiality. Flexibility and capability to think on their own within a high pressure environment. A willingness and passion for continuous learning. Good administration skills, proficient with Google suite, with an emphasis in Excel knowledge. Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills. Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high pressure and fast paced environment, all while meeting strict deadlines. This position may require some weekend work as well as the ability to work overtime on an ongoing basis. This position requires on-site attendance for in-person sessions and reviews. The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $42,400 - $54,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
