Physician Practice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Outpatient Clinics A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider. Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500. Early-career candidates may qualify for up to $12,500 in tuition forgiveness. Positions of 24 scheduled hours or more are eligible for benefits. Offices are located throughout the Greater Binghamton Area. Departments are generally open 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem options available. UHS Walk-In positions available as well: Open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, from 8am-8pm. Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required: Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing Preferred: N/A License/Certification Minimum Required: Current New York State Practical Nurse License or Permit Preferred: Basic Skills Certifications (CPR) Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated. Frequent walking, standing, bending, pushing, and lifting. Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.
