Job ID: 7409 Job Type : Per Diem Job Summary: At Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, our Internal Medicine Per Diem Physicians examine adult patients 18 and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions. They also request medically necessary tests, follow-up visits, and referrals to specialists. Per diem physicians will see patients in the office from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, with opportunities to work after hours and on weekends, including practicing virtual medicine. They are trained in Epic and are responsible for managing their own in-baskets, supported by nursing and administrative staff. They work on their selected days and shifts and have the opportunity to work outpatient and inpatient if they desire. Per diem physicians are not required to do after-hours hospital call and are compensated at a competitive hourly rate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required: See patients in an outpatient setting Monday-Friday from 8am – 5pm, including new patients and corporate physicals. Participate in the Family Medicine Call single call group, approximately once per month, either on a weekday or weekend day, shared with another physician. Conduct annual physicals and wellness exams. Practice preventive medicine. EXPERIENCE: Outpatient/inpatient experience. EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved training program in the United States. LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION: Licensed in the State of Texas. Board Certified and/or Board Eligible.
