Location: CHA Everett Hospital Work Days: Monday-Friday 7-330 Category: Nurse Manager Department: MedSurg West 1 EH Job Type: Full time Work Shift: Day Hours/Week: 40.00 Union Name: Non Union West 1 is a 25 bed Medical/Surgical and Telemetry Unit caring for patients with general and complex medical and surgical needs, often serving those with serious health issues. The skilled and compassionate nursing staff take care of approximately 20 patients each day along with an expert Hospitalist Team. The Nurse Manager performs administrative duties under the direction of the Associate Chief Nursing Officer. The Nurse Manager maintains twenty four hour accountability for the clinical, management, and leadership functions, as well as monitoring and evaluation activities pertinent to the operations of the nursing unit. The Nurse Manager demonstrates a commitment to and works within the Mission and Vision statement of the Cambridge Health Alliance. Qualifications/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required Current Massachusetts RN license required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Masters degree strongly preferred Current American Heart Association BLS required Professional work experience includes a minimum of five years experience in Medical/Surgical clinical nursing required Progressive management of three to four years experience preferred Candidates must have demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
