Organization: Telemetry Job Summary: Provides technical support for the acquisition and interpretation of cardiac tracings needed to diagnose or rule-out cardiac disease in an inpatient population using hardwired or wireless cardiac monitoring equipment. May also provide oversight of pulse oximetry monitoring. Job Title: Cardiac Monitor Technician Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our healthcare team. The primary responsibility of this role is the continuous observation of cardiac rhythms in patients requiring telemetry monitoring. The technician will promptly report any dysrhythmias to the appropriate medical personnel. Shift: Varied 60% Nights 6:45 pm - 7:15 am, 40% Days 6:45 am - 7:15 pm. Weekends and holidays rotated. Key Responsibilities: Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms. Report any abnormalities or dysrhythmias to the appropriate healthcare provider. Maintain accurate records of patient data and observations. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and care. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac telemetry monitoring. Successful completion of an electrocardiogram (EKG) course. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. High level of professionalism and reliability. Proficient computer skills. Technical Capabilities: Medical Devices: Has training, direct exposure, limited experience, or past experience installing and repairing simple and well-defined problems with the equipment. Cardiac Monitoring: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to effectively monitor cardiac rhythms. Data Interpretation: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate data interpretation. Medical Terminology&Documentation: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate medical terminology and documentation. Core Accountabilities: Organizational Impact: Performs tasks that are typically routine that may impact team's performance with occasional guidance. Problem Solving/ Complexity of work: Utilizes some discretion and research to solve routine problems. Breadth of Knowledge: Applies knowledge of standards, established processes and procedure that apply to your own job. Team Interaction: Provides guidance to entry level co-workers.
