Position Summary Salary Range: $50-55,000 annual salary, plus stipends for healthcare and tech Reports to: Executive Director Location: Remote within Nebraska, with occasional in-state travel (up to 5%) Brain Injury Association of Nebraska (BIA-NE) seeks a creative, organized, and mission-driven Marketing&Events Coordinator to lead the organization’s communications and support the success of our signature events. This is a key role for a dynamic marketer who can balance strategy with execution, bringing stories to life through digital content, social media, design, and events that build community around brain injury awareness and support. This full-time role offers flexibility and variety, with the chance to work from home while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals affected by brain injury across Nebraska. About The Brain Injury Association of Nebraska BIA-NE helps individuals with brain injuries rebuild their lives, restore purposeful living, and reclaim hope. We do this by connecting people to community-based services, support groups, and medical resources; by educating professionals; and by advocating for system-level change. Key Responsibilities Of The Marketing&Special Events Coordinator Marketing&Communications Plan, create, and schedule digital content across platforms (social media, email, blog, and website). Design and produce compelling print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, emails, and social posts. Manage the BIA-NE website, keeping content current and aligned with brand standards. Create and distribute press releases and electronic newsletters to support organizational visibility. Lead execution of email campaigns using marketing automation tools. Ensure consistent voice, tone, and messaging across all public-facing channels. Event Coordination Collaborate with staff and partners to coordinate logistics for major events including the Nebraska Brain Injury Conference, 5K fundraiser, and community engagement initiatives. Assist with sponsorship outreach and exhibitor management. Oversee event communications, registration systems, and promotional materials. Support on-site coordination and volunteer management during key events. Capture and share content during events via live social media coverage. General Support Help maintain mailing lists, donor communications, and campaign materials. Assist with occasional administrative and reporting tasks related to marketing or events. Track performance of communications and make recommendations for improvement. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising and public relations, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–4 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination. Nonprofit experience preferred. Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail. Experience with design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. Familiarity with website platforms (WordPress preferred) and email marketing software (Salesforce/Pardot a plus). Comfort managing social media campaigns (Meta Business Suite, Google Business, etc.). Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently. A collaborative spirit and passion for mission-driven work. Knowledge of health/human services/disability issues is preferred. A collegial sense of humor is a MUST.
