Job Description The Lifeguard role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations. The Lifeguard works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing the service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs. Responsibilities Successfully complete the Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing training requirements. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service. Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Handle or refer other problems and situations as they arise within the facility to the Manager. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Attend department meetings as scheduled with department staff. Maintain continuous observation of the pool, deck, and surrounding areas to ensure apparent safety hazards are reported and corrected promptly. Efficiently organize work areas. Perform any other tasks assigned by management. Qualifications Must be 16 years of age. Previous lifeguard experience preferred. Ability to withstand the elements outdoors. J-18808-Ljbffr
