Instructor (Temporary), Professional Counseling The Wayne D. McMurray School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Monmouth University seeks applications for a Temporary Instructor position in the Department of Professional Counseling. This appointment is for Spring 2025 and is a one-semester initial appointment, which may be renewable up to a maximum of three years inclusive of the initial appointment. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position. Responsibilities: Teach 12 credits per semester. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field. Demonstrated effectiveness as a teacher, student advisor, academic leader and ability to contribute to the Institute for Health and Wellness. Evidence of ability to teach core courses in a graduate counseling program. Ability to work constructively with members of the University community. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program. Licensed, or license-eligible, Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. Specialization in Alcohol and Drug Counseling, licensed LCADC or license eligible. Experience in addiction counseling.
