POSITION DESCRIPTION Help Keep Houston Beautiful on the Houston Environmental Action Team (HEAT) Crew All experiences welcome. We want to learn from you as you learn with us. The Texas Conservation Corps’ Houston Environmental Action Team (HEAT) is a full-time AmeriCorps opportunity for young adults local to the Houston area that focuses on local urban conservation and restoration projects. This crew works locally on a regular schedule, Monday-Friday. We highly encourage you to apply if you are LGBTQ, experiencing homelessness, or are involved with the criminal justice system. APPLICATIONS DUE BEFORE: ASAP AMERICORPS TERM LENGTH (675 HOUR) Crew Leader: January 10 – May 17, 2024 Crew Member: January 15 – May 17, 2024 COMPENSATION Crew Member: $2,400/month BENEFITS $1,459.26-$6,895 | Segal AmeriCorps Education Award: money for qualified student loans, higher education and training programs.
