Position: Housekeeper, Laundress, Live Out, Part Time Location: Manhattan, New York A formal household in the Upper East Side needs to hire a formally trained part-time Housekeeper/Laundress. Responsibilities include: Meticulous housekeeping – caring for antiques and fragile furnishings. Making beds and changing linens on a tri-weekly schedule. Maintaining an inventory of personal and household supplies, including day-to-day basics and specialty items, and replacing them in a timely manner. General maintenance of wardrobe (clothing, accessories, etc.), and performing seasonal wardrobe changeover. Ironing/steaming of garments and household linens. Responsible for travel packing needs, including gathering personal items, folding, and packing garments. Maintaining a clean kitchen and all appliances including stove tops and ovens. Shopping and household errands. Greeting guests appropriately. There is considerable heavy lifting required in this position. All candidates must be comfortable working in a staffed home and wearing a uniform (provided). Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday 9am - 5pm – with flexibility required.
