Full time (72 hours biweekly) 7 pm to 7 am Every third weekend Rotating holidays Sign on Bonus Eligible The focus of Adult Psychiatric Inpatient is treatment is to address a crisis situation. Attention is given to diagnosis, assessment and the selection of treatment interventions that will help to stabilize the person's behavior or condition quickly. The position will be cross-trained to work in the ED emergency department on the behavioral health suite. Promote Hope, Healing and Wholeness with a team committed to: Transforming the way Behavioral Health is delivered in the United States Finding a Better Way Working Together As ONE Building a Synergetic Team Supporting Educational Achievements for Professional Growth Creating a Safe and Inclusive Work Environment to Make Every Person Feel Welcomed, Respected and Valued The TEAM dynamic consists of: Psychiatrist provides leadership and daily medication management Therapists provide individual and family therapy as needed Nurses provide around the clock care supervision RN care coordinator partners with patients throughout the stay to create a discharge plan unique to each patient’s needs for a successful transition to home Psychiatric technicians provide a therapeutic environment, meet requests as appropriate based on the unique treatment plan, and partner with our patients to ensure safety Client groups offered and led by staff: DBT informed Mindfulness Distress tolerance Emotion regulation Interpersonal effectiveness Hearing Voices Wellness and Recovery Nutrition Recreation Social Skills Goal Setting Mindful Stretching Self-esteem Journaling Drum circle Art therapy General Summary Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
