Overview The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for Food Market Line servers to join our team. As a line server, you will be responsible for serving our guests their hot food choices from our awesome selection of sandwiches and pizza. This is a full-time or part-time seasonal position with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the various perks of working for an awesome ski resort. Responsibilities Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them. Inform guests of specials and menu changes. Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy. Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques. Answer questions regarding regions where food products come from, and how food is prepared. Describe in detail tastes and textures. Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services. Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment. Maintain clean service areas. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. Other non-essential duties may be assigned. Qualifications Must have SafeServ Certification or be able to obtain one after being hired. Must be 18 years old. Prior Experience with Point-of-Sale system preferred but not required.
