Job Description: Architect – Transportation Infrastructure Opportunity: Parsons is now hiring an experienced Architect to lead design efforts supporting our Public Transportation projects in various states across North America. Ready to put your skills to work on Public Transportation projects? This role can be based in any of the following office locations: Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, New York, or Hartford, CT. This is a hybrid remote work role, (meaning allowance to work from home 2-3 days per week, if desired). Responsibilities: Serve in a leadership role to coordinate and manage design efforts for public transportation projects across North America. Manage design efforts for Transit Stations, Maintenance Facilities, Urban Design Projects, and other facilities supporting public transportation projects. Conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts and design criteria, and prepare related reports. Review Revit models, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses. Write construction specifications and prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Interface with suppliers as required. Review supplier drawings and samples and perform technical bid analyses. Coordinate work with engineering and construction units at project site. Review, approve, and issue detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others. Provide the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract. Provide technical guidance to lower-level Architects and Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project. Keep abreast of current technologies via technical subscriptions and attendance at conferences. Prepare staffing estimates and execution plans. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is required and typically 5 years or more of Related Experience. Experience with Revit highly preferred. Professional licensure is desired. Requires proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts. Proficiency in Revit and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required. The ability to make presentations to clients and others is preferred.
