As a Tax Expert – Retail On-Site, you will serve as the trusted advisor and public face of TurboTax within your local community. This unique seasonal opportunity is designed for individuals who want to leverage their tax expertise while building a thriving business presence. You will play a key role in growing TurboTax's client base by establishing long-term relationships and driving customer loyalty.
In this role, you will work on-site at a TurboTax location, engaging with customers both in-person and virtually. Your day will involve bringing in new customers, serving as a proactive community ambassador, and providing full-service tax preparation. You will handle everything from simple to complex tax situations, including personal and business income, deductions optimization, and amendments. Beyond filing, you will facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, and offer future tax planning advice.
Success in this role requires more than just technical knowledge; it demands a genuine connection with people. You will alleviate the stress customers often feel when tackling taxes by demonstrating an understanding of their unique situations. Whether you are helping a client save for retirement, college funds, or a wedding, your goal is to turn one-time transactions into loyal, multi-year relationships. You will also have the opportunity to lead local events, participate in marketing initiatives, and create accessible tax-related content to make the topic of taxes approachable for everyone.
