About the Role

As a STRMM Network Engineer based in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve as a critical link in maintaining the connectivity and health of site terminals. Your primary mission is to ensure network resiliency and performance for strategic communications systems. You will utilize monitoring tools like SolarWinds to track uptime and latency, proactively diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues while coordinating with site teams for real-time troubleshooting.

In this role, you will not only monitor and maintain the network but also drive continuous improvement. You will identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure, support virtualization efforts, and implement upgrades to enhance system performance. A key part of your day involves maintaining accurate documentation of configurations and network architecture, enforcing enterprise best practices, and generating regular performance reports to keep stakeholders informed. You will interface with Helpdesk and engineering teams to resolve complex issues, ensuring that all STRMM and Helpdesk requests are addressed within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
