Bell Hospital, Cambridge Tower, and the Heart Center form a state-of-the-art acute care network serving the Kansas City community. Our teams are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care across a diverse range of specialized units, from complex neurology and oncology to trauma, surgery, and general medicine. We foster a collaborative environment where team-oriented professionals can grow while supporting patients and families during critical moments in their healthcare journey.
We are seeking compassionate Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our outstanding acute care inpatient teams. This role serves as the vital frontline support for Registered Nurses, ensuring patients receive consistent, culturally sensitive care throughout their stay.
In this position, you will be accountable for completing delegated tasks with a focus on critical thinking and excellent customer service. Your day-to-day involves providing essential nursing skills such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), collecting specimens, and managing patient hygiene. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and clean environment, implementing fall risk interventions, and ensuring proper isolation and hygiene protocols. A significant part of your responsibility is acting as the eyes and ears for the nursing team by promptly reporting any changes in a patient's condition, mental status, or pain levels to the RN.
Depending on operational needs, you may be assigned to various departments across our three facilities, including Medical Telemetry, Orthopedics, Neurology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and more. You may also have the opportunity to work in our Float Pool, adapting your skills to different unit requirements.
