About the Role
We are a successful law firm seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Law Clerk to join our Brentwood, TN office. This part-time position is designed for an organized professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced, challenging legal environment.
In this role, you will serve as the backbone of our document management and administrative operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining a rigorous filing system for letters, legal documents, case files, correspondence, invoices, and memoranda. You will be responsible for locating and retrieving requested files, preparing legal document indices, and managing file folders and labels. Beyond organization, you will engage in legal research and writing assignments, request essential documents such as medical records for litigation, and ensure all files remain current.
The role also encompasses a variety of clerical duties, including handling mail, filing pleadings through various court electronic filing systems, managing fax and copy equipment, maintaining the office calendar, and overseeing office equipment. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and be prepared to take on other related duties as assigned.
Schedule
This is a part-time position offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule. The role requires 20–30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Specific days and shifts are flexible to meet the needs of the candidate and the firm.
