You will be joining the Wright-Patterson Medical Center, a component of the 88th Medical Group. As one of the largest Air Force Military Treatment Facilities, we provide primary and specialty care to over 58,000 eligible beneficiaries. Our organization is a major military and civilian integrated platform featuring extensive formal programs for advanced specialty training of physicians, nurses, and technicians.
This role operates within a network encompassing seven buildings across the Wright-Patterson Base Metropolitan Area, supporting over 2,500 users. You will collaborate closely with government employees to interface with MESD/DHA, the FDA, and 88CG to maintain critical resources.
As an Information Security Analyst, you will serve as a pivotal member of our team, planning and executing security features designed to protect the business's computer networks and systems. This midlevel position is dedicated to ensuring the integrity and availability of our information systems in compliance with strict Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Health Agency (DHA) cybersecurity policies.
Your day-to-day impact involves resolving operational problems associated with systems maintained in the environment and serving as the first response for IT issues. You will utilize Enterprise Management/Tracking Systems (ETMS) to document work, take necessary actions, and coordinate with relevant personnel. Beyond troubleshooting, you will manage COMPUSEC functions, conduct information assurance inspections to provide user education, and review System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR) for accuracy.
You will play a key role in vulnerability management, utilizing automation case tools to deliver and remediate patches while providing manual interventions where automation is not feasible. Your work will directly support the enforcement of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, ensuring all endpoints and network access points are secure and compliant.
This position is fully on-site at the Wright-Patterson Medical Center, requiring physical presence to effectively manage the local network infrastructure and collaborate with the integrated military and civilian workforce.
