About the Role
KIPP Miami is seeking an experienced High School Academy Teacher to play a pivotal role in the build-out of KIPP Miami Technical High School's academies in Business, Commercial & Digital Arts, and Technology. This position is designed for an innovative educator who will design career-aligned courses that prepare students for postsecondary pathways and industry certifications. The role integrates career and technical education (CTE) strands to deliver rigorous, college-preparatory instruction with real-world application, modeled after the standards of high-performing programs in the South Florida community and nationally.
As an Academy Builder, you will support the launch and expansion of these academies while aligning courses to AP, AICE, IB, and Dual Enrollment pathways. You will lead engaging, project-based learning that bridges classroom learning with industry-specific knowledge, including entrepreneurship, digital design, health sciences, IT systems, finance, and biotechnology. The ideal candidate embodies KIPP Miami's Heartbeat Principles, fostering strong relationships and inspiring students to pursue ambitious futures through culturally responsive instruction.
Hiring Process

This typically includes an initial screening, a teaching demonstration or curriculum presentation, and a final interview with school leadership and faculty teams.
