The Neurology/Neurosurgery Care Unit (NNCU) is a newly opened, comprehensive unit located in the University of Oklahoma Medical Center, Tower B, 2 East. Designed to serve some of OU Health's most complex patients, the NNCU features significant room upgrades and provides elevated care for a diverse patient population including strokes, seizures, brain masses, and neck and spinal surgery cases.
This unit specializes in 24/7 epilepsy monitoring, requiring nurses to closely observe patients for seizure activity. The role offers a unique opportunity to work in a team-based environment that ensures easier access to specialized services. We provide the necessary tools and training to help you successfully perform Yale swallow screenings and achieve NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification. Whether you are a novice advancing to competent or an experienced professional, you will be expected to model the OU Health Way, fostering a growth mindset through mentorship, coaching, and continuous professional development.
Registered Nurse positions are available at Levels I, II, or III, depending on your experience and education. New candidates are encouraged to ask their recruiter about our competitive total rewards package, which includes a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000. Current OU Health employees can log in via the internal portal to apply.
