TAK Software Developer The Opportunity: You will perform work that involves developing tactical edge solutions for Android and Windows geospatial information applications (Tactical Assault Kit - TAK). TAK development focuses on bringing to life situational awareness and the integration of radio and military grade peripherals on a moving map application. Your primary activities will be software design, development, integration, and testing using Agile methodologies. You'll be conducting end user interviews and requirements gathering, broadening knowledge on tactical networks and mobile computing, unmanned systems, and demonstration and exercise support. You Have: 7 years of experience with designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods 3 years of experience with Java 5 years of experience with object-oriented languages, including Java, C, and C++ and embedded programming tools, including Android SDK, Open GL, FFMPEG, GStreamer, or Spatial Lite Experience with creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: Experience with geospatial systems, including moving map display, full motion video, geopositioning devices, advanced GPS technology, tactical networking, unmanned systems, or mission planning solutions Experience with development tools, including JIRA, Git, Confluence, and Slack Experience with Mobile Device computing, including Android Experience with tactical networks. Experience in working with a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Experience with exploit development and reverse engineering Experience with telecommunications operations, computer network operations, SIGINT collection operations, information security (INFOSEC), and information assurance or research and development Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
