You will help provide assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living; and providing a clean, healthy, and safe environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current State Tested Nursing Assistant certification preferred. One to two years previous healthcare experience is required. Current BLS and immunizations (Hep B and TB screening) are required. Qualifications Knowledge/Skills&Abilities Hospital Experience highly preferred High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent. Current State Tested Nursing Assistant Certification, preferred JOB DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES As STNA, you will: Assists the registered nurse by gathering data on patient conditions, direct patient observation, obtaining vital signs, recording oral intakes, monitoring input and output, weighing patients, turning patients, recording/charting patient information and interacting with patient and family members. Reports changes in patient medical and/or emotional condition to the registered nurse. Assists nursing personnel in responding to various emergency patient situations. Assists patient in activities of daily living by feeding, bathing, toileting and other personal hygiene regimes. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy and expresses interest in patient progress. Answers call lights. Maintains confidentiality and Documents interventions and patient responses according to policy. Cares for and maintains patient’s environment by avoiding environmental hazards and consistently using infection control procedures and barriers and other standards of safety.
