Our Sterile Processing department wants to add a Sterile Processing Tech-Lead to their great team. 0630-1500, Monday - Friday 10 - 14 week department orientation from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Rotating on-call, Saturday and Sunday if not otherwise needed One Holiday a year Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center , an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The Central Sterile Processing Department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is dedicated to providing its customers with courteous and reliable service. Central Sterile Processing is responsible for the reprocessing of instrumentation and supply distribution for Surgical Services and other departments, such as Labor and Delivery and the Emergency Department. Role Purpose Assists the supervisor in providing quality, cost-effective decontamination, sterilization, and distribution services. Trains and directs CSPD staff, problem solves equipment failures and functions as a charge person in the absence of the Supervisor. Responsibilities Assembles and processes instruments sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule. Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers. Serves as the primary coordinator between surgical services and central supply sterile processing department in assigned clinical service area. Provides training and guidance to staff.
