Role Summary The Senior Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) test engineer will play an important role in testing Drive Unit (DU) embedded software. This position focuses on testing DU embedded software under a variety of operating environments, fault conditions, and stress scenarios, thereby improving software performance and reliability. Responsibilities Develop HIL test cases for motor controls and software features. Expand test coverage to fulfill software functional safety-related requirements. Perform regression tests, report bugs, provide debugging support, and development validation testing for the team. Upgrade and maintain the HIL test stations and other related lab equipment. Qualifications A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. 3 years' experience in software testing and development with a focus on the automotive industry. Proficiency in C and Python. An understanding of electrical circuit concepts and basic schematics. Familiarity with testing and quality assurance processes, along with experience in using requirement and issue tracking management tools. Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with various teams, including software developers, test and integration engineers, and system architects. Pay Disclosure Salary Range Northern California-Based Applicants: $135,100 - $168,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
