A Special Hazard Service Technician will work with Low- and High-Pressure CO2 Fire Suppression Systems, Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems, Dry Chemical Fire Suppression Systems, and Marine Systems. Compensation: $30.00-$50.00/hr Essential Duties&Responsibilities: Install, program, commission, service, and inspection fire alarm and fire suppression systems. Install conduit, wire, piping, and equipment for assigned fire projects. Execute projects on time and within the allocated installation hours. Read and interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications. Exhibit excellent communication skills with internal support, clients, and subcontractors. Education/Qualification: A high school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience within Special Hazards. Knowledge of alarm and detection systems. Fire Alarm (Siemens, Kidde, Notifier) experience preferred. Early warning smoke detection experience. Pre-action detection&control experience. Experience with Clean Agent gas systems. Knowledge of NFPA Requirements. NICET Level I or II (preferred but not required). Basic Electricity and Electronics knowledge. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic understanding of blueprints, schematics, and other technical specifications. Physical Requirements: Proper hand and power tool operations and safety. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders, pull cables, and work in confined and high spaces.
