The Strategic Accounts Specialist Solutions Architecture (SSA) team at AWS is a strategic team that helps some of AWS’s largest customers develop solutions using AWS, partner and open source software across the analytics, GenAI, database and storage domains. As a GenAI Solution Architect, you will partner with customers and other AWS teams to help customers design, build and deploy GenAI models to power applications and use cases for some of AWS’s largest and most innovative customers. You will engage with product owners to influence product direction and help our customers tap into new markets by utilizing GenAI along with other AWS analytics, database and compute services. AWS works with a number of GenAI model producers, you will be working directly with them around model performance evaluations, developing demos and proof-of-concepts. In this role, you will help shape, advance, as well as learn new technologies and develop novel solutions to solve business challenges. Your solutions will explore the art of the possible with Generative AI. You will use ML and Generative AI tools, such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q along with other technologies to design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for never-before-solved problems. You’ll help drive successful business outcomes across a broad set of customers through your passion for educating, training, designing and building cloud hosted Generative AI solutions. Key job responsibilities • Ensure success in designing, building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform. • Interact with customers directly to understand business challenges, help and aid them in implementation of their ML ecosystem • Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and showcase the art of possible. • Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud. • Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, workshops, demos and proof of concepts. • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates. • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community. • Work with AWS Service teams in synthesizing customer and market feedback to evolve the AWS Services roadmap A day in the life The ideal candidate: • Has deep expertise in AI/ML (specifically Generative AI). • Has prior experience working as a Solution Architect. • Is deeply technical and keeps their technical skills honed. Often helps teach new skills to others. • Has a combination of design and architecture knowledge with development capability (comfortable on the white-board and also on the keyboard). • Thrives in ambiguous situations and can bring focus and help deliver results. • Communicates efficiently and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences • Is great fun to work with About the team The Strategic Accounts Specialist Solutions Architecture (SSA) team at AWS is a strategic team that helps some of AWS’s largest customers develop solutions using AWS, partner and open source software across the analytics, GenAI, database and storage domains BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 10 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data&analytics) experience. - 3 years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in AI/ML (1 in Generative AI specifically) - Experience contributing to the system design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current GenAI systems. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study or 12 years of related work experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5 years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience - Masters or PhD degree in computer science, or related STEM field - 5 years of experience working with AWS ML technologies. - Strong working knowledge of deep learning, machine learning and statistics - Strong communication and data presentation skills - Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment - Deep knowledge of software development tools and methodologies and active, hands-on coding and AI/ML application design experience - Ability to demonstrate body of work and influence (e.g. public repos, public speaking, Open-Source contributions or similar). Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
