A global, industry leading service company has an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst - Business Partner to join their team in Boston, MA. The Senior Financial Analyst - Business Partner will report to the Director of Finance&have the primary responsibility of spearheading the delivery of comprehensive weekly financial reports and analyses. The Senior Financial Analyst - Business Partner will also get involved with analyzing business trends and pinpointing the most significant opportunities and challenges based on their impact on the Profit&Loss (P&L) statement—including factors such as sales, profit margins, cost management, customer acquisition expenses, and product performance. Up to $130,000 DOE. The role requires someone to be local to be the Boston area and will be in the office a few days each week. Responsibilities: Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with Brand Marketing leadership to align on strategies and drive initiatives aimed at exceeding annual financial targets. Data-Driven Insights: Analyze Direct Sales metrics to identify key opportunities and risks, providing actionable recommendations to optimize the Direct Sales P&L. Financial Reporting&Updates: Attend weekly Marketing and Revenue Management meetings, delivering comprehensive P&L and KPI updates focused on performance against the financial plan and current action items. Brand Performance Reporting: Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly reports on brand performance, including all other income categories. Forecasting Support: Play an integral role in the monthly forecasting process by generating reports and providing variance analyses that reconcile actuals against estimates and plans. Operational Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with operational leaders to streamline processes and enhance business performance. Sales Trend Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analysis of sales trends, offering insights to inform business decisions. Requirements: Experience: 5-10 years of finance experience, with a strong background in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. Collaborative&Independent: Proven ability to thrive both in a team setting and as an independent contributor, managing a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel; strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously with attention to detail. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional business partners. Critical Thinking&Curiosity: A natural curiosity and strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify, synthesize, and summarize key business insights. Prioritization&Balance: Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to balance both short-term and long-term objectives. Cross-Functional Relationship Building: Experience in working with multiple departments and fostering positive relationships across diverse teams. Liaison Skills: Ability to act as a liaison between various departments to ensure alignment on business priorities and objectives. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Essbase, and Tableau.
