Come and join us in the ChristianaCare Pharmacy - Dedicated to getting the right drug to the right patient at the right time As a Pharmacy Technician at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, you will perform assigned duties in support of the Department of Pharmacy Services with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and patient safety. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) using aseptic techniques and in following processes in full compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and other applicable regulations Complete CSPs in a timely manner Assist in any batching activities Maintain a clean and orderly work area, verifying that supplies within the area are within date and stored under appropriate conditions Order, receive, and restock CSP supplies to meet daily demands of the pharmacy. Use appropriate PPE and closed system transfer devices for the preparation of chemotherapy and other hazardous medications Orient and train new pharmacy personnel Recommend ideas to supervisor for improvement of methods and procedures Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma required At least one year of pharmacy experience required At least one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program If you 're inspired to make a difference, we invite you to become a ChristianaCare caregiver
