Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 6:00PM Compensation: $24.00 - $26.00 Benefits: Medical, Dental&Vision Paid Time Off: 10 Days Sick Days: 5 Days Retirement: 401K w/ Company Match S UMMARY Under a pharmacist's supervision, performs designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications, including sterile admixtures and prepackaged or unit dose drugs. In addition, performs designated tasks regarding pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control and preparation of orders for drugs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Organizes assigned workload to facilitate its accomplishment. Completes batch records and other pharmacy records as indicated. Verifies completed batch records against the computer record. Generates labels and picks and packages prepackaged and unit dose drugs in accordance with the dispensing order (pick-list) and under the supervision of a pharmacist. Participates with the pharmacist and materials management coordinator in monitoring/maintaining drug inventories and preparing orders for drugs and related supplies. Answers the telephone and takes messages as indicated. Participates in department QA activities as requested. Attends designated departmental meetings as scheduled. Performs other tasks or duties as requested. Attends and participates in conventions, trade shows and in-services relating to IV therapy. Consistently represents the company in a professional manner. Maintain effective working relationship and cooperate with all personnel in the Company. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to a reliable automobile. High School diploma. Successful completing of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician training program desirable Minimum of one year's experience in the aseptic preparation of large/small volume parenteral, parenteral nutrition, antibiotics and chemotherapy. Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic technique. Ability to work with others. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Possess good organizational and time-management skills. Proficient in data entry and use of a computer. Possess the ability and initiative to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal direction. Dependable in attendance and job performance.
