Description: The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These duties include but are not limited to: filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staf. Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services. Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task. The Pharmacy Tech 4 is an experienced and versatile tech that serves as resource to others and is able to perform PI and QA functions. Estimated pay range for this position is $20.94 - $27.22 / hour depending on experience. Qualifications: Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper. Licenses&Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician. NHA Pharmacy Technician Certification. PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician. Additional Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience (or equivalent experience). PTCB or ExPT Certification required. Comprehensive experience as a pharmacy technician including at least 2 competencies: sterile products, chemotherapy preparation, medication reconciliation, controlled substance surveillance, inventory optimization, ADC/carousel optimization, buyer, billing experience, technician training or PI/QA experience.
