Payroll and Benefits Specialist Location: Cambridge, MA (Onsite for initial training, then hybrid with 1 day remote weekly) Compensation: $28-$42.65/hour or $58K-$88K/year (based on experience) Type: Permanent or Temp-to-Perm Key Responsibilities: Process weekly payroll entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Conduct regular audits of timekeeping data and suggest enhancements to processes. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, escalating as needed. Oversee payroll tax filings and collaborate with providers to address tax issues. Support compensation programs, including salary updates and employee documentation. Generate reports, maintain data accuracy in payroll systems, and reconcile invoices. Manage year-end payroll tasks, including deductions, employee notices, and W-2 reviews. Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and addressing inquiries. Review performance appraisal materials and track completion timelines. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll or accounting (familiarity with ADP systems is a plus). 1-3 years' experience in benefits administration or related fields. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Thrives in fast-paced settings, meeting deadlines with precision.
