Emory Healthcare is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Nephrology team in our Dialysis Centers around Metro Atlanta. Locations include the following centers: Emory at Candler Emory at Greenbriar Emory at North Decatur Emory at Northside Emory at Saint Joseph's This is primarily an outpatient position, with the opportunity to provide flex support to inpatient Nephrology patients on an as-needed basis. Ideal candidate will have 2 years of Nephrology or dialysis experience as an Acute Care NP or PA. NP candidates should be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP). Position will include taking histories and physicals, assessing patients on dialysis, ordering dialysis for patients, as well as prescribing and managing prescriptions. This is a Weekday position and the schedule is anticipated to be 4-10 hour shifts per week. There will be no call, nights, or weekend requirements. Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system. Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team: Base Salary range: $106,000 to $134,000 per year depending upon years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Comprehensive health benefits that start Day 1 Description: Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced PA or Acute Care NP for our Dialysis Centers around Metro Atlanta. Prior Nephrology or dialysis experience is highly desired. The successful APP will have the opportunity to provide treatment to inpatient Nephrology patients on an as-needed basis. Nurse Practitioner candidates should be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP). JOB DESCRIPTION: Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records. Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems. Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes. Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia. May require at least one year of direct experience in American Heart Association BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
