The Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is the region’s largest membership-driven organization representing the interests of over 300 businesses and individuals. MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting an Early Head Start TODDLER TEACHER. Seeking caring individuals with a strong independent initiative, and experience implementing developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood development to work in our Early Head Start Center. Your workdays will be filled with educating young minds, laughter, art, stories, hugs and so much more. Go home each day having had fun at work and feeling like you made a difference Implement curriculum that provides an inclusive learning environment allowing for children’s development based on individual need. Provide a daily routine and prepare a weekly lesson plan ensuring all required elements are incorporated. Supervise and lead classroom staff. Requirements Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education and 1 - 3 years experience in the early childhood field as well as supervisory experience strongly preferred. Child Development Associate credential will be considered. Knowledge and experience in early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices for the classroom is essential. Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and DHS Licensing Regulations and ability to maintain compliance with these standards. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence in English as well as basic math. Ability to apply common sense solutions in standardized situations. Ability to express/exchange ideas and instructions to clients, the public or other employees. Must have the ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with children, staff and parents. Must effectively and professionally deal with typical and unexpected classroom situations. Must have the ability to handle emergency situations with young children and parents. Must honor private/confidential information. Basic computer skills including working with e-mail, internet, data entry, computer files, databases and/or web based programs required. First Aid/CPR certification required. Must qualify to work within Head Start through Department of Human Services background study clearance. J-18808-Ljbffr
