The Bown Crossing Health Plaza is hiring for an outgoing and efficient Medical Assistant for our Sports Medicine and Family Medicine physician located at the Bown Crossing community in East Boise Position Summary&Benefits This position will work with a very busy physician, Dr. Aaron Campbell, who sees Sports Medicine and Family Medicine patients. Bown Crossing Health Plaza provides convenient care for East Boise residents and commuters. From family medicine to urgent care and physical therapy services, we provide access to quality healthcare services for all your family needs. What You Will Do : In this position you will work with Sports Medicine and Family Medicine patients and will have the opportunity to use a variety of your MA skills and will see a variety of patients. In addition to patient intake and vitals, the MA will perform phlebotomy, immunizations, and also assist with procedures and PRP injections. An ideal candidate will be confident, appreciate a direct communication style, and have a strong desire to learn. You will like to practice at the top of your scope as an MA, have strong self-initiative and communication skills. You also will enjoy a respectful, positive, and structured work environment, being part of a supportive team, and are willing to assist in all areas of the clinic. Work Schedule : Mondays – Thursdays, 10 hour days, 7:30am – 5:30pm/6pm Learn more about the Bown Crossing Health Plaza : https://www.saintalphonsus.org/location/saint-alphonsus-boise-bown-crossing-family-medicine Minimum Qualifications : High School Diploma or equivalent required. MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP) New Graduates : Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification. Medical Assistant with Experience : 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
