Job Summary Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Lead Engineer with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Location: Dallas, TX Responsibilities Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP as well as middleware and modern application frameworks (e.g., microservices and containerization). Expertise in cloud-native architectures particularly within Azure with practical experience in services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service. Design and implement scalable and efficient architecture solutions using Kafka, AWS Cloud, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Java. Oversee the development and deployment of microservices to ensure high availability and performance. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams ensuring standard processes are followed. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications. Ensure seamless integration of new solutions with existing systems minimizing disruption and improving efficiency. Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency. Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and scalability. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all architectural designs and implementations. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating them into the architecture as appropriate. Work closely with collaborators to understand business needs and align technical solutions with organizational goals. Implement security standard methodologies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards. Fix and resolve technical issues providing timely and effective solutions. Mentor junior team members develop a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications Possess strong expertise in Kafka, AWS Cloud, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Java. Have extensive experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management domain. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills working effectively with multi-functional teams. Show a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and efficient architecture solutions. Display a deep understanding of security standard processes and compliance requirements.
