Labor&Employment Attorney - to $150,000.00 Bonus Position: Labor&Employment Attorney (1 or more years of experience as a Labor&Employment Attorney is required) Location: Binghamton, NY (Onsite, potential for some remote work after training) Compensation / Benefits: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 base salary, along with mentorship, a structured bonus program for Associates, an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, 401(k), profit-sharing plan, paid time off, and a secure and collaborative workplace, offering some remote work opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide counsel to clients across a broad spectrum of Labor and Employment issues; conduct research and analysis of relevant L&E law, and draft various documents such as correspondence, pleadings, memoranda, policies, and contracts; create employee handbooks and policies. Represent employers in state and federal courts, handling a diverse range of L&E matters, including wage&hour, restrictive covenant, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, and employment tort claims. Advocate for employers in administrative hearing proceedings and grievance arbitrations involving employee discipline, GML 207 disability claims, and collective bargaining agreement disputes. Challenge municipal determinations in Article 78 proceedings; file motions to stay arbitration and to vacate or confirm arbitration awards. Negotiate on behalf of employers in collective bargaining sessions, mediations, interest arbitration proceedings before PERB, and handle unfair labor/improper practice proceedings before the NLRB and PERB. Conduct HR compliance training for clients' supervisors and employees; deliver presentations at seminars and webinars on L&E matters; and compose articles for L&E newsletters. Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Show commitment to the legal profession and a collaborative teamwork approach. QUALIFICATIONS: Currently admitted to the NY Bar.
